Our trainees give you an insight into life and work in Findlays

Sophie Bole Trainee Accountant

“I joined Findlays after I left school and enrolled in their ICAS trainee school leavers program. I have been here for a year now and I can say I have progressed due to working alongside highly skilled professionals and getting the opportunity to use my knowledge in practice. I would highly recommend taking this route to be a qualified chartered accountant as not only do I gain my professional qualifications I also benefit from full time practical experience. The working environment is great and if I am struggling with work or study there is always someone there to help me. I also enjoy the social aspect of this job by participating in staff BBQs and quiz nights.”

Kerr Jolly Trainee Accountant

“When I first joined from school it was very daunting but at the same time exciting. The first few weeks were initial training and I had lots of support from all my colleagues and found the office very friendly and welcoming. No one day is the same working as a trainee accountant, one day I am preparing soletrader accounts the next I am assisting on the audit of a large company. I am gaining practical experience whilst studying and gaining formal qualifications without acquiring any student loan!”
