Partners & Associate

Joan Williamson, CA

Joan joined the firm as a qualified CA and office manager in 1991. She became a partner in 1993, specialising in providing audit and accounting services, particularly to the social housing sector in Scotland. Today, her client base also includes working with charity, business and farming clients, in all aspects of compliance, business planning and taxation. Outside work, Joan relaxes by playing golf, walking and reading. She is a Trustee of Tayport Community Trust.

Kevin Walker, FCCA

Kevin joined the firm in 2007 and became a partner in 2012. He specialises in providing business and taxation advice to small and medium sized owner managed businesses. His client base is wide and varied in terms of business sectors but he has a particular emphasis within the motor trade, hospitality, engineering, construction and fishing industries. His client base is geographically spread from Aberdeen to London. Away from the office Kevin spends the majority of his free time with his wife Sam and their three kids. He is also an avid supporter of Dundee United.

Lesley Campbell, CA

Lesley joined the firm in 1996 and was promoted to partner in 2002. She specialises in all areas of general practice from start ups to audit. She heads up the specialised charitable team which covers all services such as audit, independent examination, vat advice, gift aid claims, training and consultancy. Lesley also acts as the treasurer and trustee for some local charities. She also has the role of the firm’s audit compliance partner and has a wide ranging corporate client list covering many business areas. In her free time Lesley loves spending time with her family.

Sandy Squires, CA

Sandy joined the firm as a trainee straight from University in 1998, becoming a partner in 2009. Sandy provides audit, accountancy, consultancy and tax advice to a wide variety of clients in a number of sectors, but has particular interest in retail, housing, property and construction, medical and dental, engineering and financial sectors. Away from the office Sandy spends his time with his wife Leigh and two young kids, he loves sport, particularly golf and skiing and generally spending as much time as possible outdoors.

Steve Mackay, FCCA

His current role is as an associate within our Arbroath office. His responsibilities include overseeing the accounting and taxation staff within the office, developing and training our up and coming trainee accountants, as well as servicing a varied portfolio of clients. In his spare time Steven loves to play golf, spend time with his family and travel with his wife Kerry. His favourite travel memory was a tour he arranged of the White House in 2015.

Practice Manager & Staff

Louise Cameron, FCCA

Louise first joined the Practice in 1988 as a trainee accountant and qualified in 1992. Louise left the practice shortly thereafter to take up the position of Company Accountant with a manufacturing firm in Carnoustie. In 2007 Louise returned to Findlays to fulfil the position of Practice Manager and now over sees the day to day running of the firm and all this entails. On top of this Louise also provides accountancy and taxation services to many of our clients. In her spare time Louise loves to play golf and she is a past captain of Montrose Golf Club. She also likes to cycle and spend time with her family and travel with her husband Jim. Louise is a trustee of Old & St Andrews Church in Montrose.

We currently have around 30 staff employed to service our clients over all areas of our business. Our staff have a wide range of qualifications and experience, meaning we can service clients across a range of different specialisms. We pride ourselves on having a balanced work force who are committed to providing good quality client service. Our staff invest in our clients and we invest in our staff, providing them with ongoing training and development in order to ensure client needs are met and that we can add value to our client engagements.
